Product Description - Ancient Korean & Japanese techniques are integrated into the creation of this vase. Each piece is handmade using a pottery wheel. When the clay is fully dry, it is covered with organic materials such as sawdust, seaweed, fruit peels and eucalyptus leaves, then fired inside containers (saggars) within the kiln. The pieces get their color & markings at random from where they were in the kiln & from what materials burned against their surfaces. After firing, the pots are pulled directly out of the ash & cleaned. Firing in this primitive method gives each piece its own natural look. No two pieces are exactly alike. 7"W 7"H
